Course Overview
The 2 Years Advanced Diploma (B.Voc) program in Multimedia and Animation, introduced as part of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in India, aims to provide a skill-based and employment-oriented education in the field of multimedia and animation. 2 Years Advanced Diploma (BVoc) in Multimedia and Animation Course is a specialized 2 Years Diploma Program for undergraduates and graduates that offers a unique blend of theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience, catering to individuals who are passionate about creative visual storytelling, graphic design, digital media production, and animation techniques. Throughout the program, students will delve into various aspects of multimedia, including graphic design, video production, interactive media, 2D and 3D animation, character design, visual effects, and motion graphics.
2 Years Advanced Diploma (BVoc) course is of two-years duration, further divided into four semesters. The course curriculum of 2 Years Advanced Diploma (BVoc) is industry-based which contains about 40% General Education (theory) and 60% Vocational Training (practical) components. This means that apart from studying the regular curriculum, all students need to undergo industrial training or project work for at least four to eight weeks every semester.
The Vocational course is a two-year program consists a combination of Practical, Theory and on-the-job training/internship. The two-year program will be divided into 4 semesters: 2 semesters per year (where 1st year will be a Diploma, 2nd year will be Advance Diploma). The Advanced Diploma program is designed as per the UGC guidelines. The objective of the course is to provide immediate and definite interventions to improve the lives of the youth through appropriate vocational training programmers.
NEP 2020 emphasizes a holistic and multidisciplinary approach to education, and
the B.Voc
in Multimedia and Animation aligns with this vision by integrating skill
development with
academic learning. The curriculum focuses on industry-relevant skills, fostering
creativity,
and encouraging innovation in the rapidly evolving field of multimedia and
animation.
By incorporating industry internships, workshops, and project work, the B.Voc
program ensures that students gain real-world exposure and
are well-prepared for the demands of the job market.
Additionally, the
program promotes entrepreneurship by nurturing a mindset of
self-employment and enabling students to start their ventures in the multimedia
and animation industry.
